Activities in Andaman

Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is a form of underwater diving in which a diver uses a scuba set to breathe underwater. Unlike earlier diving, which relied either on breath-hold or on air pumped from the surface, scuba divers carry their own source of breathing gas, (usually compressed air), allowing them greater freedom of movement than with an air line. Both surface supplied and scuba diving allows divers to stay underwater significantly longer than with breath-holding techniques as used in free diving.

If you are enthralled by the Andamans that you see above the surface, wait till you take a look at the fascinating world that’s waiting to be explored just beneath the waves! The azure waters surrounding the Andaman Islands make it a treasure trove for novices and experienced divers alike and Havelock is the nucleus of diving in then Andamans.

Pristine dive spots and enchanting fish life have ensured that the Andamans are now considered as a diving hot spot and divers from all around the world make their way to these islands simply to scuba dive.  Irrespective of whether you can swim or not- as long as you are at least 8 yrs old, you too can try your hand at diving and get addicted for life.
